The light intensity and the color of the light can be changed easily because the project uses the DALI light driver technology

Good light for every setting

In a dynamic environment like the one of theater de Harmonie in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands, the atmosphere and emotion of a room is very important. And light plays a large role in creating the right atmosphere. Because of this the client, the municipality of Leeuwarden, looked for a partner that could handle a dynamic place like this. IdFrm, together with technical consultant Technion, were selected because of their plans. Our proposal contained a plan to replace all functional and technical lighting one by one.

Even though conventional light was not forbidden, the goal of IdFrm was clear from the start. We only use LED technology, and the client liked that argument.

The first phase of the renovation was finished during the summer closing period. In this phase, the conference halls of de Harmonie have been relighted. The toilets and traffic places like hallways have been relighted too.

The complete light solution has been supplied with DALI driver technology. With DALI, it is possible to change the light conditions easily through a control panel. This is beneficial, because the light color and intensity influence how we feel and act. It also influences the atmosphere in a room. In collaboration with the end users of the rooms, we have developed multiple pre-set light scenarios. By selecting a light scenario, the light color and intensity change with just one single click on the control panel.

After a successful first phase, the theater halls will be relighted.

On to phase two!
